Nations, as a whole go insane.  If an ally is constantly the aggressor in conflicts, you can rationalize it this way.  Otherwise, how do you explain it?  Are they evil?  Are we evil by default for supporting them?  The mass murder of women and children in Gaza and the West Bank changed a lot of minds over the past decade.  It used to be that Israel had the benefit of the doubt.  They were, as the narrative goes, the victims of an attempted genocide by the Germans during World War II.  The state of Israel formed in the years after World War II so Jewish people could have a homeland, and they wouldn't need to be so nomadic.  Like many nations, Israel created an intelligence agency called the Mossad.  The charter motto from them came from Proverbs 24:6:

"By way of deception, thou shalt do war..."

There are conflicts all over the World, and when countries actively engage in lies and propaganda as a way to achieve their goals, it's difficult to sort through the bullshit from the truth.  In this video, Tucker Carlson talks about Israel's aggression, and Donald Trump's stated support for Qatar.  There's no easy solution when allies start attacking each other.  In 1967, Israel attacked a US naval vessel in a false flag operation after the Americans gave support to Egypt.  The World has become a shit show, but in some ways, it's always been the same.  Perhaps the magnitude has changed, and America has lost its moral high ground, especially with Donald Trump in the White House.  The United States used to save countries from pirates on the sea, and now the Navy became another pirate organization after taking an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela.  How will any of this resolve?  Nobody really knows ...
