Every president has a legacy, some good, and others not so much.  Donald Trump was close friends with the most notorious pedophile in modern history, Jeffrey Epstein.  Donald Trump, Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, JD Vance, Pam Bondi, and others in the administration pretended they wanted the Epstein Files released, but it turned out to be a massive hoax.  Pam Bondi, this past February, went so far as to invite prominent influencers to the White House (before Trump wrecked it) to give them binders of "Phase 1" of the Epstein Files, but most of the information was already in the public record.  It turns out that Trump's connection to Jeffrey Epstein went way deeper than most people suspected, and MAGA has been grappling with this all year long.  They've wondered why Donald Trump has been so adamant about protecting a known sleaze bag who had more than a thousand victims.  They've also wondered why he strayed from the America First agenda he pretended to support.  Marjorie Taylor Greene, like her or not, remains consistent about her desire to release the Epstein Files, and she openly criticized the administration when they put Argentina, Israel, and Qatar ahead of America.  Because of this, the Orange Clown (this is a name I use for Trump regularly at Never Trump Blog) decided to attack her.  I appreciate Marjorie Taylor Greene!  My politics with her differ, but she took stand for what she believed in!  It was a CORRECT stand in regards to the Epstein Files, by the way, and the Epstein Files Transparency Act wouldn't have been passed without her.  Lawrence O'Donnell said it was a critical moment in American history.  After Adelita Grijalva was sworn in and became the necessary 218th signiture on the discharge petition, Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene had to hold their ground, and they did.  Trump went so far as to try to bully Boebert after she was called into the White House, but she held her ground.  This changes the trajectory of American history.  We can have hope that Trump's attempted Fascist takeover won't succeed.  It only takes a few with courage to stand their ground.  Trump can't dictate his whims to grown, profrssional adults and expect them to forfeit their independence.  We thank Boebert and MTG along with Thomas Massie and Nancy Mace for putting their principles above party.  This legislation should've been a slam dunk all along, but Trump started behaving like he had a secret, diabolical things personality similar to Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Marjorie Taylor Greene will be resigning effective January 5, 2026.  Regardless what people say about her past and her mythic association of Jewish Space Lasers, she made a significant difference.  By defying Trump, the House of Representatives voted 427 to 1 to release the Files, largely in part to her leadership.  This is the first of many dominoes to fall as we all think about life after Trump ...
