The Cowboys' defense started season really, really bad, but they're on their third DC in as many years, plus they had key injuries. Two years ago, Dan Quinn was DC, and last year it was Mike Zimmer. This year, Matt Eberflus is calling the defense, and these changed in systems can take a while to adjust to. This past week versus Washington, there was reason for hope, and 5th round rookie LB Shemar James is showing he can be a legit starter. He has tied or led Dallas in tackles for three weeks, and the film doesn't lie. There's athletic ability, and discipline in the lanes.
